Having recently been slated for a July 31st release date on Nintendo Switch, the — and very exciting — Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound will now also receive two physical editions. Get in!
Silver Lining Interactive has an assortment of physical editions of this Dotemu/The Game Kitchen collaboration (just two of the best in the world at this sort of thing working together, no big deal) available for various platforms, and Switch players aren't being left behind.
These physical editions ("breathtaking", according to Silver Lining), which take the form of your usual standard and special variants and are scheduled for 12th September, are broken down in the PR blurb:

The Standard Edition delivers
- Full-throttle game for PlayStation 5 or Nintendo Switch
- Heart-pounding soundtrack
- Retro bookletSpecial Edition Includes:
- Standard edition contents - Game, Soundtrack and Retro Booklet
- Cloth map - frame it or study it like a true warrior.
- 4 metal pins - Bold, pixel-art-inspired designs you’ll want to show off (or guard like treasure).-
- Double-Sided Hero Medallion - A solid metal coin featuring both protagonists: feel the weight of the legend!
- Pixel Stage Standee – A badass backdrop to show off your ninja pride on any shelf.
- Double-Sided Poster – Wall-worthy art showdown!
- All encased in a collector’s box
Both physical editions are now available to order at Silver Lining's Direct website, with the standard costing £34.99 and the special coming in at £59.99 (or whatever that ends up equating to wherever you are).
As for the game itself, well, with the creators of the recent more modern 3D entries.
Looking forward to grabbing a physical edition of Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound? Let us know!

Can't wait for this!
Have already preordered the standard physical edition discounted from my usual retailer here in Italy (so glad that the soundtrack and booklet are also in that one) - looking forward to this game even more than I already was!
Hell yes! Switch one still rocking those physical releases.
Nice, this game looks pretty great. Still plenty of good games for S1 and hopefully these newer titles are backwards compatibility tested too.
I know steam has a demo guess I'll wake up and check the switch 2 shop for a demo. If not I can wait silently
Not Limited Run Games! Pre-ordered! Thank you for the news @PJOReilly
Better not be a Game-Key Cartridge...
*Edit
It's a Switch 1 release only, which means full game on cartridge.
The Focus spin-off not only gets a full physical at retail worldwide, but even a manual!
Meanwhile, Microsoft can't even bother to give 4 anything more than a dump on Windows Store on their own platform and a questionable pressing on PS5.
If I were Team Ninja, I'd be insulted. If I were Itagaki, Phil Spencer would learn what it's like to be on the receiving end of a DoA Arcade Boss fight
@PJOReilly The standard is only £34.99 on Silver Lining's website. 🙂
This is one of those games where every single still shot is like wallpaper worthy. Looking forward to this and NG4.
@ThaBEN Lol how quickly people forget that switch 1 is basically what started popularizing code in a box. Switch 1 games releases aren't always guaranteed to have the game in full on the cart
@Jack_Goetz Ah! Corrected. Cheers pal.
It's also on Amazon if for some reason you don't want to use the Silver Lining website. Although at the time of ordering, they had the listings for PS5 and Switch a little mixed up.
If it's not a key card I'll buy physical. Any game getting the key card treatment will be a digital for me. I'm not buying an empty piece of plastic just because they can't be bothered to put it on the cartridge.
I’d love to know if games like this will get basic patches for Switch 2. Obviously the Switch is more than capable of running it, but would be good to get 1080P handheld/4K docked
@Truegamer79 With a manual included, I would be shocked if it's just a code in the box as that wouldn't make sense for the demographic they are going for with the physical. Also, as it's an S1 release, there won't be a game key card.
Super cool. Thanks for the info, I have just placed my pre-order. Just 45 EUR including taxes and shipping, that's a steal!
Btw, love the tone of those news bits and I assume congrats on ing the team, always enjoyed your reviews very much! @PJOReilly
@Yalloo Ah, thanks pal!
Just preordered mine! thank you!
Played the Steam demo, and it's amazing.
Definitely buying the special edition on Switch.
This in July and Shinobi Art of Vengeance in August. I hope they both deliver
I'll love to get the special edition but that $18 shipment is a deal breaker for me. Any ideas we could see this edition in the US?
@babybilly Yeah, but at least a code in a box isn't lying about what it is.
I wish in this digital era companies would sell the physical OST alone. I don’t want a physical game.
@Raifteiri I mean. Isn't it? Why would anyone want to buy "physically" if it meant you're literally just getting an empty plastic case. The game key is just as honest as a flimsy piece of paper but y'all keep trying to act like it's way worse or something 🤷🏽 it's 100% on the publisher for this decision & it's been around for a long time at this point. Personally I think both suck, but acting like one is better is just pointless imo.
Are they going to making multiple releases with each successive DLC like Shredder's Revenge?
@Ryu_Niiyama They often (not always) get added to Bandcamp eventually for extra revenue.
@ThaBEN lol some physical Switch games actually require quite a big to run. I guess such stuff has been around for quite a long while.
Dotemu was the pub on SoR4. The creators were Lizardcube and Guard Crush Games.
Just going w Standard, personally. I only wonder if I should wait on physical until all updates are out.
